How the signs group
The twelve signs split into four elements of three signs each. The element sets the basic tone of how a Venus sign gives and wants affection.
- Fire: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius. Warm, direct and quick to act.
- Earth: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn. Steady, practical and loyal.
- Air: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius. Curious, social and fond of ideas.
- Water: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces. Feeling, protective and intuitive.
Where Venus feels strongest, in tradition
Traditional astrology says Venus is at home in Taurus and Libra, the two signs it rules, and exalted in Pisces. It says Venus is in detriment in Aries and Scorpio, and in fall in Virgo. These words describe how easy or hard the sign makes Venus's style. They are not a score, and plenty of people with a "weak" Venus love well.
